FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Monday, February 8
Rutledge applauds taxpayers for rallying against the Obama-Mikulski agenda.
FOREST HILL, Maryland - Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Rutledge applauded the efforts of taxpayers who are rallying across the Nation to hold Congress and the President accountable for raising taxes and expanding the Federal Governments' role in our lives.
Rutledge stated, "A sleeping giant has been awakened, and I am proud that middle class Americans are joining the ranks of campaigns like ours to fight the Obama-Mikulski Agenda."
The Obama-Mikulski Agenda calls for the Citizens of Maryland to pay higher taxes to support social engineering and bigger government. Instead of focusing on lower taxes and less government, Obama and Mikulski continue to push for programs that help special interest and expand the Federal Bureaucracy. The citizens of Maryland can no longer afford to pay for the bureaucracy in Washington fueled by the tax and spend practices of Barack Obama and Barbara Mikulski. The policies of the Obama-Mikulski team continue to pursue a course of action that empowers a Federal Government from within, instead of a government empowered by the people and for the people.
Barack Obama and Barbara Mikulski believe higher taxes and more government are the answer to our financial problems. The time has come for the people of Maryland to do our part in this struggle to preserve liberty and freedom in America. We must stand together in this effort to pull the Nation from debt and insolvency. Together we can restore America by demanding that our government, our rights and our money be returned to us.
Jim Rutledge thinks Maryland deserves a U.S. Senator who believes Washington should be governed by principles, not principles governed by Washington.
